When you ride your bike on flat ground at a slower speed you are still burning a great amount of calories due to the fact that you will be able to continue that pedaling motion for a longer period of time. This is also perfect for people who don‘t have the stamina for a highly intensive ride at different speeds and climbs etc. Low intensity work outs also don’t give you all the extra muscle either so the weight will stay off.
Taking a bike out for a "test drive˝ will be useful, and when you find the model you like, you can have the bike shop make any adjustments to the bike to make it as comfortable as possible for you.
There are great trails suitable for mountain biking in every state so you'll surely be able to find many that are suitable whichever area you live in. This includes mountain trails but also a number of other pleasant terrains. For the adventurous types or people experienced in mountain biking there are numerous thrilling, beautiful and often rougher trails to follow.
